Colorado Health Foundation’s funding for this program supports the collaborative efforts between the Colorado Center for Health and Wellness at the Anschutz Medical Campus, Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation, Cherry Creek School District, and Aurora Public Schools.

The Colorado Health Foundation provides financial resources to promote healthy living and ensure access to quality, cost-effective health care through grants that help meet the needs of Coloradans. The mission of the Colorado Health Foundation is to improve the health and health care of Coloradans by increasing access to quality health care and encouraging healthy livestyle choices.

 

Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation raises funds to support the mission of Children’s Hospital Colorado- ‘To improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy’, and helps thousands of children to dream, hope, and triumph.

 

The Anschutz Health and Wellness Center empowers individuals, communities and organizations to make sustainable changes to achieve healthier lifestyles so that high obesity rates and chronic disease no longer reflect the way we live as a society.

 

Aurora Public Schools — One of Colorado’s largest and most diverse school districts, APS has 59 schools serving approximately 36,000 students and 2,800 5th graders. APS students represent 135 countries and speak 115 languages.

 

 

Cherry Creek School District — As the 4th largest school district in Colorado, CCSD serves 51,000 students in 64 schools throughout the Denver metro area. There are 39 elementary schools in CCSD with approximately 3,900 5th graders.
